Finding your shade

The best match is always your mid-length colour — not your roots, and not your ends. If you colour your hair regularly, match to the section between the two.

For highlighted or balayage hair

Choose a shade that matches the mid-lengths of your hair and your most prominent tone. Our balayage sets are designed to blend across multiple tones — if you have highlights, these are usually the better choice over a single-shade set.

For dark hair

Match as closely as possible to your natural base. If your hair has red or warm undertones, lean towards warmer shades in our dark range. For ashy or cool-toned dark hair, choose cooler-toned options.

For blonde hair

Blonde is rarely just blonde. Look at the undertone — is it warm (golden, honey), cool (platinum, ash), or neutral? Our shade descriptions specify undertone to help you get this right.

For natural hair and coils

For textured natural hair, match to your stretched length colour for the most seamless blend. We recommend our clip-in or ponytail pieces designed for natural hair, which are available in a range of deep, natural tones.
